are countless today and most of them are devoted to
ethical and moving causes. Even if some charities may
appear unreliable to some people we can assert that most
are honorable. Some charities are suspected of having
doubtful money handling practices but most are not. The
difficult question is how to choose from all these
millions of charities. As the resources to give to
charities are usually scarce, most people have to pick one
thing. They are willing to give but they can't. But money
is not the one thing to offer. Think of time as one of
our most cherished resources. However, it is the hardest

contribute to is what you have to give. Would you rather
prefer to give of your time or your money, or perhaps some
other thing? It will be enough if your children's
hand-me-downs is all you can give. A great number of
charities are ready to receive this kind of help together

highly appreciate this type of gifts.
If time is the only thing you have to give, you can choose
among a large number of options. Ponder on what you can
do and like to do. Businesses and churches often recruit
their employees and members to join a charity. You can
bake for charity in case you like this common and
profitable activity. You will certainly be able to obtain
money for your charity from bake sales. Obviously, you
should never initially subscribe to a charity that hasn't
approved anything. You can choose the type of people you
like working with. Women's shelters, homeless shelters,
places for the disabled, needy children, etc comprise a
wide proportion of those needing help.
If money is your choice of venue, no one is going to turn
you down. Think about what cause you really want to
further. Then look for a trusted name in that field. One
trusted source of charity that helps people from all walks
of life is certain hospitals. Some hospitals will treat
those patients that they know can't pay. They give the best
care not because they have to, but because people like you
are willing to help out those in need.
To look for charities in your neighborhood, you can go to
several places. Local newspapers and radio stations usually
know this information. Also, most cities have homepages
that may list these opportunities.
